The Receiving & Material Control Specialist will perform a variety of warehouse functions including but not limited to receiving and inventory control to support manufacturing, procurement, engineering, and product development. Position is expected to process all material transactions in a timely manner, and maintain all required documents for material movement per quality procedures.

Position Title: Receiving & Material Control Specialist

Essential Job Duties
- Performs all jobs duties under the direction and oversight of the department Manager
- Track and maintain proper levels of stocked inventory; complete inventory cycle counts on designated critical components
- Coordinate international shipments with freight forwarder & track in-bound deliveries
- Receiving of Materials into Sage ERP system
- Performs sample inspections upon receipt of orders and report on damaged or defective materials received
- Forwarding of all incoming material documentation to Accounts Payable
- Assigns designated stocking location for incoming materials & implement 5s
- Develop Safe material keeping methods and keep thru-ways clear at all times
- Manage the material movement in/out of stocking locations to support production
- Controls flow of incoming materials using FIFO methods
- Enters Inventory adjustments into ERP system and provide notes on transactions
- Monitor inventory flow to Production Work Cells
- Update management team on damaged or delayed shipments
- Provides daily updates on Inventory status and weekly review of improvement process to department Manager
- Always maintain accuracy of available inventory, zero tolerance for inaccuracies

Job Requirements

- 3+ years-experience within a manufacturing industry
- High School Diploma
- 5s or other warehouse logistic certification
- Valid forklift license
- Valid and clear drive license/record
- Working knowledge of Sage ERP or other related ERP system
- Kanban systems experience preferred
- Proficiency with Outlook, Word, and Excel (testing will be required as part of the interview process)
- Ability to lift 50lbs
- Must be able to sit for full shift, with some bending, squatting, lifting and moving freely from one department/cell to another
- Must be able to work in a variety of weather conditions/temperatures
- Ability to read, write, and speak English at a level that is sufficient to perform the essential functions of this position
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- Successful completion of drug test and background check
