Say "I Do" to the Beacon 2

Sep 04, 2018

It’s wedding season!

Ok, so it has been for a few months, but it’s never too late for some good, old fashioned wedding planning advice. It’s probably safe to say most people have been to or been in a wedding….or been the one to get married! So you may know that there are thousands of components to a wedding that all have to come together perfectly on one day. That’s a lot of room for error. It may be impossible to simplify everything when it comes to planning a wedding, but there is one thing that should be easy peasy: your sound system. One Anchor Audio Beacon sound system, for example, will entirely take care of your special day.

So, if you are like me and a couple of the other Anchor Audio team members that are in the middle of (or just finished) planning a wedding, or maybe you provide sound for weddings….

Here are 3 reasons why you should say “I Do” to the Beacon 2:

1. It’s LOUD

A “large” wedding is considered around 200 - 300 people. That’s a lot of family and friends to have at one event! For the Beacon, that’s nuthin’. A single unit will cover a crowd of 2,500 people. Never say never… but could you imagine a wedding larger than that!? If the occasion did arise or another royal wedding occurred, a second unit with Anchor AIR can easily and wirelessly connect for even more sound coverage without the hassle of cables.

Whether your ceremony and reception are at the same location, or you have to drive from one to the next, the Beacon can easily go along for the ride. Wheel (yes, wheel!) it around the venue, or if you have to drive, it’s compact size can easily be transported in almost any size of car since it is the size of a carryon suitcase. The wheels, handle, and onboard microphone carrying bag keep everything together and easy for one person to keep track of. Plus, it is battery powered for up to eight hours, so you don’t have to worry about running a generator or finding a power source to get the party started.

A wedding is a celebration; celebrations get rowdy. A horrible addition to a rowdy celebration? Wires. The Beacon is completely wireless. No cables to plug into a wall, no cables to connect the microphone. A wireless sound system means that it is out of the way, convenient, and extremely reduces the potential for a trip hazard over the non-existent cables. It’s low profile also makes it less of a focal point in pictures and more aesthetically pleasing. Each person that speaks, the officiant, best man, maid of honor, parents, etc., can use a wireless microphone and even interact with the guests and bride and groom. Picture your officiant having to hold a wired microphone for the ceremony or having a microphone on a stand right in between you and your significant other during the vows. Not with the Beacon! How about connecting a hands-free lapel mic? With a lapel mic, you can barely see the microphone element at all! The pictures will, without a doubt, turn out much better.

Sometimes when planning a wedding, the easier option isn’t always the best option; this is not the case when it comes to providing the sound for your big day. The Beacon 2 will have your crowd covered in any ceremony and reception location and all while completely wire-free.

It’s never a bad idea to make things easier on yourself and simplify one of the thousand choices that make up an amazing wedding!
