Portable Solar Panels for Re-charging at Outdoor Events

Oct 17, 2014

Have you ever needed a power source at an event that does not have any electricity to re-charge?

Many of our customers are out and about using their portable PA systems and portable sound systems in outdoor and even remote places. Often times, they are in settings where they don’t have electricity to re-charge their systems.  What do they do?

Recently, one of our customers, Boys to Men Mentoring, had their 5th Annual 100 Wave Challenge Fundraiser, which took place at Mission Beach in Southern California. They used Anchor Audio’s Liberty Platinum DUAL Deluxe package, which can reach crowds up to 3,000+ (impressive, we know)!

Depending on usage, the Liberty Platinum battery lasts around 8 hours on a single charge. The event lasted 12 hours, so the system required an external power source to recharge. Boys to Men Mentoring used a portable solar panel to be utilized as a power source to re-charge the Liberty. The solar panels were feeding a solar generator by Goal Zero called the Yeti. The Yeti supplied power to five food vendors and the Anchor Audio Liberty speakers. It worked perfectly!

Portable solar panels serve as one great solution for providing a portable power source for your Anchor Audio systems. Another option for a power source while out and about could be a generator. Be sure to fully charge your Anchor Audio portable sound systems and portable PA system before an event. If you have any other suggestions, please feel free to share them with us. Email your power source solution to marketing@anchoraudio.com.
