The Quality Assurance Engineer is a key role within the organization, working closely with our engineering, repair, and production team. This position is responsible for hands-on product diagnostics, testing of new product samples, and provide SOP training to assist in troubleshooting and repair of Anchor electrical components.

Essential Job Functions:

  • Visually inspects electronic circuit boards, harness, and assemblies
  • Perform debug and test assemblies to component level utilizing block diagrams and schematics
  • Train production staff on troubleshooting and repair of PC boards (standard operating procedures)
  • Evaluate and Test Production and new audio design products
  • System level trouble-shooting skills and the ability to determine corrective actions
  • Regularly interface with manufacturing, quality engineering and procurement for corrective actions and inspection criteria
  • Support production with a resolution of quality issues in accordance with established procedures
  • Provides technical and regulatory expertise for a range of quality assurance testing and inspection activities associated with product development and manufacturing, Audio a plus
  • Work closely with Engineering and Supply Chain to define part quality plans at a component level
  • Review changes to products in production for reliability impact to aid in the correction process, design, or material problems
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases
  • Estimate, prioritize, plan and coordinate quality testing activities
  • Identify, record, document thoroughly and track issues
  • Setting up manual and automated testing

Job Requirements:

  • B.S/B.A in Electrical Engineering
  • 2+ years’ experience in electronics inspection and testing, including experience with PCB assembly, harness assembly and mechanical assembly, Audio field a plus
  • Must have strong experience in PCB Assembly inspection
  • Ability to read and interpret general engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions
  • Working knowledge of inspection equipment
  • Hands-on experience using laboratory test equipment such as Power Supplies, Oscilloscopes, Multimeters, signal analyzers, digital signal generators, soldering gun, hot gun and noise figure meters, Audio precision a plus
  • Experience with test strategies, executing tests, and writing test plans, test procedures, and test reports
  • Proficient in validation methods and evaluation criteria
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications, including intermediate excel
  • Experience developing Audio automated testing scripts from scratch a plus
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English at a level that is sufficient to perform the essential functions of this position
  • Must be able to sit/stand for full shift and lift 50lbs

Preferred Requirements:

  • Prior A/V Industry experience
