    Hi,

I just returned from our local VFW Memorial Day event. The local VFW post has a Voyager PB-3000 with no audio output. I am a qualified sound technician and I was wondering if you would be able to provide a schematic on the PB-3000?

The battery is brand new and properly installed. We get a solid red LED power indication when the power is turned on. we tried all inputs and even changed microphones and mic cords and still no output.

I would like to help out the VFW post but I need a schematic to do so.

    Thanks

Could someone please point me in the right direction to obtain replacement batteries for 2 liberty 4500 systems? I’d greatly appreciate it.

  4. Anchor Audio says:

@Vernon – You can download a copy of the PB-3000 Schematic here: http://www.anchoraudio.com/blog/docs/PB3000Schematic.pdf

  5. Anchor Audio says:

@Nick – I’ve emailed you a couple of our online dealers to check out for ordering replacement parts. Keep in mind there are two possible battery options for the Liberty 4500 series depending on how old the unit is. Be sure to order the ones that are currently in your system. If you’re not sure which ones to order, please provide me the serial number of your unit and I should be able to figure out the correct batteries you’ll need.

Hi Nick. I’ve had two of the Anchor 4500 series amps. When my batteries went bad, I merely went down to the local battery supply store. I got some bigger and better batteries for cheaper, (under 35.00), and got extra hours out of my amp without it running down, although it added a little more weight. The batteries were a slightly bigger size, so I merely ground down some of the nubs on the bottom of the battery cover plates, and ground down the sides a little so they would slip back far enough to get the screws in. I recently bought one on Ebay with dead batteries and did the same thing. Hope this helps. Karl

Is there a schematic available for the MBP 4500. One of the large ceramic resistors fried I can not read the numbers on it.

    Thanks,
    Ron

  8. Mark says:

I am waiting on a replacement battery so that I can change it in my MegaVox Pro.

However, I have another issue that may or may not be battery-related. I am getting an intermittent loud buzzing sound coming from the MegaVox. When it is plugged into the charger, it does the same thing, but it is accompanied by vibrations (could it be a solenoid?). Has anyone else encountered this problem?

  9. Mark says:

There is actually something clicking switching on and off on the circuit board… like when the “signal alert” button is pressed.

  10. Anchor Audio says:

Hi Mark…it seems like your MegaVox is having more then just a battery issue. Please call our tech support at 800.262.4671 and ask for Steve so he can help diagnose the problem with you.

  11. Ron says:

So… I’ve replaced the resistor but I need to replace the batteries in my mpb-4500. Can you please post a list of dealers where to purchase replacement batteries.

    Thanks
    Ron

  12. Ron, you can purchase replacement batteries from anyone of the dealers listed on our “Where to Buy” page. Here’s the link: http://www.anchoraudio.com/wheretobuy.cfm

  13. dave says:

I’ve installed batteries in the LIB-6000, the back panel then got hot- normal or did i do something wrong?

  14. Paul Watson says:

Just bought a couple of MPB-3500 Liberty Speakers for a super bargain price, the problem is that the batteries have been removed before sale as they had died. Any ideas what the replacement batteries are please. Also is a schematic still available as they have been modded with XLR input sockets and Lemo radio mic receiver inputs.

  15. Steve Tipon says:

    Paul,

Anchor used two possible size batteries in your MPB-3500

    151mm X 65mm X 94mm 12V 7-9AH PN LIBH-BAT 6lbs $78.00
    134mm x 67mm x 60mm 12V 2.6-3AH PN 205-0002-000 3 lbs $65.00

Without the original batteries its hard to determine what size was in your units. With the battery sizes try to determine by the battery hold down assembly what size was installed. If that doesn’t work use two of the larger size batteries. This will give you longer run time per charge, but it will take over 8 hr to charge.

  16. Steve Tipon says:

    Dave,

When you connected the batteries did you connect the white jumper from the negative terminal of one battery to the positive terminal of the other, then connected the battery harness red lead to the remaining red terminal and the black to the remaining black terminal? If you disconnect the battery from the panel, plug in the ac cord, does the charge indicator flash as if the batteries were fully charged?

If not call, customer service 800 262-4671 x 178 for help.

  17. Rogene says:

I just acquired an Ensign Portable Tabletop Lectern. How do I replace the batteries? Where can they be located? What type of battery should the system use?

  18. Steve Tipon says:

    Dear Rogene,

What is the model number and serial number of your Ensign?

  19. Tony Metcalf says:

Is it recommended to let the battery go completely dead before recharging on a daily basis? Also…what is the normal amount of time to fully charge battery?
