How To: Extend the life of your sound systems battery
February 5th, 2008The average battery life for your Liberty, Explorer, Beacon, Acclaim and MegaVox Pro sound systems is about three to five years. The durability of these sound systems allows them to perform through years of constant use. By applying the following tips to your sound system maintenance schedule, you can be assured a long lasting battery.
Tip #1 – It is very important to charge the batteries completely before using the system for the first time! By plugging in the unit overnight you’ll ensure a fully charged battery which will typically give you 6-8 hours of use.
Tip #2 – Make sure the power is OFF before charging your battery.
Tip #3 – Charge batteries as soon as possible after use, regardless of how long you used it. If possible leave the system plugged into an outlet during extended periods of storage, if not, charge the system for a minimum of 12 hours once per month.
Tip #4 – Do not store your system with partially or fully discharged batteries as this may cause the life of your battery to be greatly reduced.
